This is the read-only guide

A short looped demonstration of the side-by-side viewer. Two Drupal sites sit next to each other: core on the left, core plus the change on the right. A form is submitted once and both sides show the same errors. After closing a group of fields, the right-hand side marks it with a red bar and an error icon while the left does not. The colour mode is switched to dark and the width to mobile with one click each.

This page is running without the lab, so the two live Drupal sites, logins, live accessibility checks and Lighthouse are not available here. The steps below and what to look for still apply. To run this comparison:

  1. On your own computer (recommended):
  2. In a DDEV cloud workspace (needs access that DDEV grants; see the plan in the repository): open the issue picker.
  3. Evidence and notes for this issue: reports, issue on drupal.org. Guides: documentation.

Before: upstream main

After: with the change

The sites are still loading

This closes by itself when both sites answer, and the frames then reload. A freshly started DDEV site can take a minute or two.

Steps to reproduce (optional checklist: tick each step as you do it)

Ticks are saved in this browser for this issue and included in the downloaded log. Nothing depends on them.
