Dit is een associatie, geen bewijs van oorzaak. Technologieën die op dezelfde set pagina's worden gedetecteerd (bijv. een CMS, de host en de taal ervan) delen identieke lift-waarden; de lijst groepeert per technologie maar kan niet zeggen welke in een samengestelde stack verantwoordelijk is. Behandel paren met hoge lift als aanwijzingen die een mens moet bevestigen — een barrière die terugkeert met dezelfde technologie, vooral op meerdere sites, is waarschijnlijk een bug in die technologie en niet in de inhoud van één pagina.
