Owner mode is disabled in the public site until GitHub OAuth is wired up. The MGIFFORD_TOKEN repository secret is for Actions only and cannot be exposed to the browser.

Acceptable paths:

GitHub OAuth with a server-side token exchange.
Build-time owner reporting inside GitHub Actions, without exposing private signals in the published site.
